Link building question – how to interlink?

Share you knowledge guys! You have 3 websites. Two of them, PRX and PRY (X > Y), rank well. You need to promote PR0 website. How would you interlink websites to achieve PR0 high ranking?

  1. personally i would go with scenario #2 for short term and #3 for long term

    i would minimize all other outgoing external links from both x & y – make them no follow except the link you are connecting to your PR 0 and PR Y sites

  2. The reason I’m asking is because I found many 3-type networks. PR0s – affiliate websites / landing pages.

  3. When you say “many” is it statistically significant? If yes, all in one niche, brand, section of rankings etc.?

  5. Personally I avoid interlinking my own websites. It seems borderline black hat seo to me. Technically the search engines could consider this as a linking scheme meant to artificially boost rankings. Instead I take the time to build links offsite instead. If you keep your websites completely separate, it keeps them much more secure.

  6. And… what do you do if all your websites are on the same server? This would seem like it wouldn’t work if this were the case, hehe.
