From Zero To SEO Achieving High Rankings Through Coding

6Aug/095

Another day – another backlink

A friend of mine asked me about when he should stop bothering about backlinks. What can I say? Another day – another backlink! Backlinks is never enough.

Wake up at X am. Brush your teeth; take a shower; eat your breakfast, etc. We all have similar workflow programmed in our heads from early childhood. Make link building a daily habit. Find five-minute slot in your schedule for link building. Reduce TV, Xbox, online poker or whatever you do. If you are retarded whitehat blogger, just comment someone’s blog. If you swim deep, buy some links.

To my mind, a wall calendar is the best tracking tool that keeps you going. My girlfriend and I mark dog feeding two times a day (morning / evening). Two crosses means dog is full – don’t feed it, or it will become fat.

For link building monitoring I use custom php application, coded myself :} When I open it, I see domains (highlighted) that need my attention – lack of fresh content and/or backlinks. Notifications are also available. I specify a threshold, i.e. nudge me if website X was last updated Y days ago and last backlink acquired Z days ago. Very effective. You can program your own app. Only basic coding skills required. If you don’t have any, buy a calendar. I recommend Michelin or Playboy ;) When you stare at pin-up girl, your brain will notify you – get some backlinks you’re lazy old fart!

Take care!

P.S.: Sorry for my gayish post, but I don’t have time for serious one. I do remember about Amazon Product Review Scrapper that I promised to Winalot. I hope I can finish it soon.
